I am a fifth generation female rancher on our ranch. Being from a ranching/farming family history, horses have always had a very important part in the ranch. I can not remember the time when I started to ride, as my memory has always had me on a horse. Being raised on a remote working ranch, my youth was spent playing all over the ranch which included my horse and my dog. It was only natural that I wanted to pursue more activities that included horses. 4-H was the first step, followed by rodeo, cutting, reining and of course starting and training young horses.

When I was in Jr. High, Tara Johnson came to the ranch to give riding lessons to 4-H-ers and to start colts. I spent all day, every day riding with Tara and working on horsemanship and training skills. Tara has been my foundation instructor and a continuing mentor and true friend. I have spent time with other trainers like JL Bartlett, Ray Hunt, Bobby Ingersol, Pat Wyse, Buck Brannaman, Les Vogt, and Jim Spence.

The training and riding I do is a majority of the time outside of the arena. Riding out on top of the hills and covering country, trails, gathering cattle, and a variety of training. I like developing a good soft feel on the horses that I ride with solid foundation.

My Husband, Clifford and I have raised our 3 children and have been busy with our farming and cattle. The ranch we live on is rich in pioneering family history. This is a unique country with farm ground and pasture on large hills and canyons and open space. There is bountiful wildlife to observe. We thought our ranch would be of interest to other people and are pleased to have others come out and trail ride and enjoy the clinics we will be putting on.

Thank you for visiting our website!  We hope to see you at the ranch!
