Tara Johnson Horsemanship Clinics
"Clinics where you do the riding"
| Tara Johnson grew up in a family where horses were the family business, developed from a love of the animal. Tara's parents had horsemanship background from Monty Foreman, and the last US Cavalry group. Her father started many colts of different breeds and she began helping him and starting colts herself at a young age. Bonnie Johnson, Tara's mother, was famous for her clinics all over the Northwest. Tara had many accomplishments as a young rider through numerous horse show competitions, including scoring very high in an Olympic dressage tryout. She went onto college where she was the captain of the horse show team and completed her degree. She worked for a cutting/reining horse trainer in Canada which tuned her in that field. Many years as a TB racehorse trainer followed, in which Tara's comprehension |
of conditioning, feeding, healthcare, and developing a quick eye for problems, added to her wealth of knowledge. She got back into dressage and jumping, and worked with some of the top instructors in that field. She became a college and high school teacher following her desire to be an educator. We are excited to have Tara come to our area for your benefit! |

| Tara's enthusiasm for horses and the art of training them is what makes her so good at working with people and their horses. She believes in the old fashioned technique of students doing the riding and lots of wet saddle blankets. Her love of the subject is contagious, her knowledge abundant, and she works diligently to help riders achieve their goals with their horses. |
